Personal Support Worker (Shift)
Personal Support Workers are available to assist residents in retirement homes, assisted living facilities, and long term care homes. Beyond Nursing also provide's PSW's to Hospitals, and other facilities as required. If you are a business in need of a PSW then this is the individual for you.
Personal Support Worker
(PSW 1:1)
We individualize your care and provide support based on each individuals specific needs and requirements. A Personal Support Worker will assist you in your activities of daily living. This includes but is not limited to:

- Helping you with your activities of daily living
- Personal Hygiene
- Ambulation
- Meal Preparation and Grocery shopping
- Housekeeping
- Companionship
-Gardening

Personal Support Workers will be here to support all your personal needs. All care plans are individualized and therefore as a PSW he/she will help make your day as fulfilling and memorable as they can.
Registered Practical Nurse Shift
Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs) are here to assist you. Our RPNs are able to accept shifts at your facility and will carry out all the duties required under the College of Nurses of Ontario. RPNs are here to help your organization when you need them most. Beyond Nursing recommends orientating our RPNs to your facility however this is not required. At Beyond Nursing our RPNs are here to work on an on call basis, or you can train our RPNs to be familiar with your facility and pool our nurses so you can be confident in your selection with Beyond Nursing.

Registered Practical Nurse (RPN1:1)
Registered Practical Nurses help families in home on a 1:1 basis. RPNs help provide more advanced care. At Beyond Nursing the RPN provides direct nursing care as defined by the Standards of Nursing Practice (College of Nurses of Ontario; CNO) and includes:

- Administration of medications through oral, subcutaneous, topical, natural body orifices, intracutaneous, and tubing routes
- Administration of routine medications as well as narcotics
- Able to perform wound care dressing changes as outlined under the CNO
- Palliative care measures

At Beyond Nursing our team of RPNs are expected to practice within their scope as outlined by the CNO. Not only do RPNs perform their duties but they can also perform the duties of the PSW as well. If your loved one needs more advanced care then this is the nurse for your family.
Registered Nurse (RN) Shift
At Beyond Nursing our staffing agency also supplies Registered Nurses to organization in need of a last minute RN. We provide Registered Nurses to assisted living facilities, long term care, rehab clinics, hospitals, and any other facilities that require a Registered Nurse. Feel confident in your selection with Beyond nursing. You can pool our Registered Nurses together and train them to become essential members of your interdisciplinary health care team.
Registered Nurse (RN 1:1)

Registered Nurses are an integral part of the interdisciplinary health care team. Registered Nurses are the highest level of nursing personal. They hold the highest level of education and can provide care in the most advanced setting. Not only do our RNs perform their job as outlined under the College of Nurses of Ontario but they also provide the duties of an RPN and PSW. Registered Nurses help families but it not limited to the following:

Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates nursing care of assigned residents. Diagnoses actual or potential problems and identifies strengths, plans and performs interventions and evaluates outcome.

Collects information from a variety of sources using skills of observation, communication and physical assessment to enable the provision of appropriate nursing care.

Provides leadership and support to the RPN, PSW

Recognizes deviations from predicted client responses and consults appropriately with the family

Participate in family conferences as needed

Elicits residents and/or substitute decision maker’s needs, wishes and preferences regarding care.

Coordinates the development of a plan of care with the resident and family and all other team members.

Documents timely and accurate reports of relevant observations including resident and family teaching and evaluation of nursing care.

Evaluates the healthcare needs of children, adolescents and teens in regards to healthcare treatment determining RPN or PSW requirements

Registered Nurses (RNs) are sent in first to discuss the appropriate level of care for your loved one. Beyond Nursing will always have a licensed Registered Nurse come in and evaluate the appropriate level of care your family member requires in order to feel secure in your decision. The RN will also help educate on each nurses roles and duties so that you can choose with confidence which nurse to hire for your family member.
